winning two major awards at the Ad Club of the Triangle’s ADDY Awards held on March 2 at the
American Tobacco Campus in Durham, N.C. The Department of Marketing won the Best in Show
award in the Interactive Media category and a gold ADDY award for best website, both on behalf of
its client Armadillo Grill. The agency’s creative work will now advance to the regional competition.
The creative team behind the award-winning Armadillo Grill website ( www.armadillogrill.com)
includes Ray Parrish, Lead Graphic Designer; Adam King, Web Programmer; and Thomas Cook,

As a young firm in operation for just over two years, there was a tangible thrill for winning two
coveted interactive media awards during its first year competing in the prestigious ADDY Awards.
Managing Partners George Wallace and Oliver Spencer expressed a sense of accomplishment while
looking toward the future.
“We are so excited to receive this Best in Show award and a gold ADDY for best website,” said
George Wallace. “To be recognized twice in the interactive media category – which is the newest
and most innovative medium – is a real honor forus. We can’t wait to build on our success.”
To maximize its interactive media expertise and apply its unique webgrowth strategy for clients,
The DofM is preparing the launch of its new WebWorth Solutions program in late spring 2007. The
initiative will offer a full suite of services to help businesses receive more value from their web
presence.
The ADDY Awards are the world’s largest and most competitive advertising competition, with over
60,000 entries submitted each year from 200 member clubs.
